XSYU Signs a Cooperative Education Agreement with California State University, San Bernardino

On the afternoon of June 22, a forum and signing ceremony for the cooperative education program between our university and California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), was held in the Second Conference Room at the Huyi Campus. John Binkley, Vice Provost and Dean of the College of Global Education at California State University, San Bernardino, Wang Jinfu, President of our university, and Zhang Rongjun, Vice President of our university, attended the event.

At the forum, Wang Jinfu extended a warm welcome to Binkley and his entourage on behalf of the university. He noted that both institutions participate in the Sino-US “1+2+1” Dual Degree Program, boasting a long-standing cooperative relationship and well-aligned academic disciplines. He expressed the hope that taking the signing ceremony as a new starting point, the two sides would jointly cultivate interdisciplinary talents in the next-generation information technology sector, advance interdisciplinary integration, and contribute to mutual learning and exchange between Chinese and American higher education.


Binkley commended the steady progress of bilateral cooperation and voiced high expectations for future collaboration. He stressed full support for the program’s implementation through curriculum development, academic exchanges and faculty development, and pledged to deepen comprehensive cooperation between the two universities in talent training and scientific research.


During the thematic exchange, Zhang Rongjun stated that he looked forward to sustained close collaboration between the two sides in curriculum alignment, faculty exchange and quality assurance to facilitate efficient progress of program application. He also hoped to expand cooperation in joint talent training and joint scientific research.


Wang Jinfu signed the Sino-foreign cooperative education agreement on site.

At the meeting, relevant persons-in-charge from the School of Computer Science of XSYU and the US counterpart respectively presented the development of their academic disciplines and majors. The two sides held thematic discussions on specific matters including curriculum articulation and faculty exchange.

During the event, Binkley and his entourage visited the teaching and living facilities at the Huyi Campus. Relevant officials from the Academic Affairs Office, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and School of Computer Science of our university attended the activity.
