XSYU was Elected as a Vice-president Unit at the 8th Membership Conference of the China Petroleum Enterprises Association Chang Jiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of XSYU, was elected Vice President of the Council

On September 27, the Eighth Membership Conference and the First Meeting of the Eighth Council of the China Petroleum Enterprise Association convened in Beijing. Zhang Mu, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the conference.

This conference brought together representatives from enterprises and institutions across China's petroleum industry, experts and scholars, as well as leaders from petroleum universities. Participants jointly explored industry development trends, planned future cooperation directions, and held the inauguration ceremony for the association's new leadership team. At the meeting, our university was elected as a Vice President unit of the 8th Council, with Party Secretary Chang Jiang elected as Vice President of the 8th Council. The School of Petroleum Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Management have joined the 8th Council as members.The meeting also voted to approve the Seventh Council Work Report, the Charter Amendment Proposal, the Membership Fee Income and Expenditure Report, the Membership Fee Standard Proposal, the Election and Voting Procedures, and the Council and Supervisory Board Composition Plan. It reviewed and passed the draft resolutions of the Eighth Membership Conference and the Eighth Council Meeting, and elected the leaders of the Eighth Council. Additionally, the meeting invited renowned experts in the petroleum and petrochemical fields to deliver keynote speeches.

As a national petroleum industry organization, the China Petroleum Enterprises Association is dedicated topromoting exchange, collaboration, and technological innovation among petroleum enterprises. The successful convening of this conference has further solidified the cooperative foundation between our university and enterprises in the petroleum sector. Seizing this opportunity presented by our election, the university will fully leverage its role as a vice-chair unit to serve as a bridge and link, deepening practical cooperation with industry enterprises in areas such as scientific research, achievement transformation, and joint talent cultivation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of China's energy industry.

Representatives from the Office of Alumni Affairs and External Cooperation, the School of Petroleum Engineering, the School of Electronic Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Management, and the School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
