CPC Committee Secretary of XSYU, Chang Jiang, and President of XSYU, Wang Jinfu, paid a visit to the General Manager and Vice Secretary of the Leading Party Group in China Petrochemical Corporation, Zhao Dong.


On May 27, Chang Jiang and Wang Jinfu paid a visit to the General Manager and Vice Secretary of the Leading Party Group in State-owned China Petrochemical Corporation Limited (hereinafter China Petrochem), Zhao Dong. And other distinguished guests were also in attendance: Assistant to the General Manager for Corporate Planning and Human Resources Management, Qin Du; Director of the Policy Research Department, Deputy Director of the General Administration Department, and Deputy Director of the Office of the Partys Central Committee, Zhang Cailu; Vice President of Development Planning Department, Jin Zhengwei; and Vice President of Science and Technology Department, Guan Xiaodong.



Chang Jiang and Wang Jinfu expressed their heartfelt gratitude to China Petrochemical Corporation for its long-term and steadfast support towards our university. They introduced the XSYUs history, development achievements, key accomplishments achieved since cooperation started, as well as future visions. They also reported on the matters related to the Shaanxi governments agreement to renew the collaborative construction agreement with China Petrochemical Corporation and other enterprises regarding XSYU. They affirmed that XSYU would continue to adhere to its original mission of nurturing talents for the Party and the nation and serving its oil and gas industry-focused educational orientation. It aims to further deepen their partnership, realizing an organic connection between educational chains, talent chains, industrial value chains, and innovation chains, better serving the countrys energy strategy and the pursuit of an educational powerhouse. The university is committed to supporting the goal of China Petrochemical Corporation in becoming a world-class enterprise through its intellectual contributions.




Zhao Dong wholeheartedly acknowledged the XSYUs rich history and outstanding achievements in education. He expressed his sincere gratitude for the universitys continuous support and positive contributions to China Petrochem in terms of talent and intellectual resources over a long period. He agreed with the proposed matters by the university. He hoped that both parties would continue to leverage their respective strengths and deepen their cooperation. This was especially true in areas such as high-end fine chemicals, deep-sea oil and gas exploration and development, international talent cultivation, green transformation and development, and employee training and education. He required relevant departments to communicate effectively and refine the agreement details to ensure its effectiveness and make new contributions together towards safeguarding national energy security and the dual carbon goals.

At the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding the strengthening of corporate-university-academic-research collaboration, as well as joint talent education. A consensus on further cooperation was reached.
