On the afternoon of December 16, “Xi’an Entrepreneurship Tour” came to Xi'an Shiyou University. Wang Yongkang, member of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee, came to inspect and investigate the work of innovation and entrepreneurship of our university, and to exchange ideas with our university's scientific experts and alumni representatives.
Wang Yongkang first visited the Engineering Training Center, the Petroleum Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Center, the Soccer Robot Innovation Practice Base, the Machinery Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, the College Students' Cultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop, etc.
In the Iron Man Wang Jinxi Memorial Hall and the University History Museum, Wang Yongkang learned in detail about the life story of the Iron Man Wang Jinxi and the running process of our university.
Later the conference presided over by the university party secretary Sai Yunxiu. On behalf of our university, President Li Tiantai gave a brief report on the history and the current development of the university, the practice and effectiveness of innovation entrepreneurship as well as the prospect of future.
The five representatives including Professor Qu Chengtun, Professor Dang Ruirong and Alumni of 1990 Accounting major, Huayou Energy Group Executive Director Wu Jiwei, 1988 Chemical Equipment and Machinery major, Chairman of Xi'an Tenghui Electric Co.Ltd. He Rong, 2001 International Trade major, and chairman of Aiyi Network Group, exchanged ideas on scientific research, talent cultivation, entrepreneurial experience and the construction of the Great Xi'an City.
Wang Yongkang offered five suggestions on strengthening University-Local Government cooperation.Firstly, the construction of a distinctive Xi’an Shiyou university with high-level teaching and research will be strongly supported by Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government .Secondly, the cooperation between industry, universities and research institutes will be supported. Thirdly, a series of international and domestic conferences of the university should be supported.Fourthly, the inheritance of the iron man spirit must be vigorously supported.Fifthly, the university should strengthen talent cooperation with Xi'an city and to promote the co-development of Xi'an and the University.
