From September 18th to 20th, the "2018 International Conference on Exploration and Development of Oil and Gas Fields" jointly sponsored by our university and Shaanxi Petroleum Institute was held in Shaanxi Hotel. Nearly a thousand experts and scholars from nearly 20 countries including China, the United States, Russia, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, and Nigeria attended the meeting.

On the morning of the 18th, the opening ceremony of the conference was held. President Li Tiantai gave a welcome speech and Vice President Li Hua presided over the opening ceremony. In his speech, President Li Tiantai said that the university has joined the Shaanxi Provincial Petroleum Institute. Since 2009, it has held such an international conference every year. It has been held nine times so far, and hundreds of well-known experts at home and abroad have made reports at the meeting. Over the years, this conference has become one of the most important international academic conferences in the industry, and has actively promoted the development of technologies such as oil and gas reservoir monitoring, intelligent oil fields, unconventional, pipeline monitoring, and environmental monitoring. With the theme of “Innovation to Change Oil and Gas Industry”, this conference focuses on the most advanced scientific and technological content in the field of oil and gas exploration and development. The academic achievements arising from the discussion and exchange will also promote the innovative development of oil and gas field exploration and development technology.

The meeting was divided into two agendas. The first day was the theme discussion and the conference report. On the second and third days, there were “Special Topics for Reservoir Monitoring and Management”,“Special Topics for Oil and Gas Reservoir Evaluation and Dynamic Description”,“Increase and Increase of Oil and Gas Reservoirs”The topic of recovery technology ""low-permeability reservoir development", "unconventional oil and gas resources technology", "oil and gas well production testing technology", "geo mechanics topic", "reservoir geophysical monitoring technology" and "fracture reservoir development technology" Nine groups of special reports. Nearly 250 experts and scholars from home and abroad shared the latest technology and research results at the venue. The meeting also held a knowledge sharing electronic presentation report meeting, and 45 representatives received technical demonstration opportunities.
