On the morning of June 21, a delegation of 27 Malaysian High School Principals and a delegation of Chinese Pre-University Alliances visited our university. The symposium was held in the first conference room of Yanta Campus. President Qu Zhan and Vice President Chen Junbin attended the forum. The head of the Academic Affairs Office, the International Exchange and Cooperation Division, and the International Education College attended the forum.
At the symposium, President Qu Zhan welcomed the Malaysian delegation from afar. He said that in recent years, China and Malaysia have cooperated extensively in various fields and educational exchanges have become increasingly frequent. The educational cooperation and exchanges between the two countries have become an important part of the "One Belt, One Road" interconnection. As a university featuring petroleum and petrochemicals and a member of the China Pre-University Education Alliance, our university has a good foundation and prospects for education cooperation at all levels in Malaysia. We hope to further develop our university's successful practice in the training of international talents in the “Belt and Road”. To expand educational cooperation with Malaysian schools, more Malaysian students will choose to study at Xi'an Petroleum University in the future.
The delegation, Mr. Chen Zhicheng, thanked the university for its kind invitation and thoughtful inspection arrangements, and briefly introduced the development of education in Malaysia. He said that Malaysia is an important oil country. The visit hopes to enhance the understanding of Malaysian high school on Xi'an Petroleum University, promote cooperation between the two sides, and recommend more outstanding Malaysian students to study in our university.
